Privacy Notice

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us through the forms on this site:

• Hall rental inquiry: your name, email, phone number and preferred language; the type of event, preferred dates and times, and number of guests; the space, catering and bar service you're interested in; and any notes you add.
• Contact form: your name, email, phone number (optional), the subject and your message, and your preferred language.
• Newsletter sign-up: your email address and language.

With each form we also record the date and time, the type of browser you used, and a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet (IP) address rather than the address itself. We use these only to spot spam and abuse.

How we use it

• To answer your inquiry and follow up on your booking or question.
• To send you a confirmation that we received your message.
• To send the club newsletter, if you signed up for it.

We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Who can see it

Your message goes to the club volunteers responsible for that area — for example, hall rentals or general inquiries. We also use a few services to run this website, and they handle your information only to provide those services to us:

• Vercel, which hosts the website
• Supabase, which stores the forms
• Brevo, which sends our emails and newsletter
• Google Workspace, which runs the club's email

We don't share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Cookies and analytics

• A cookie that remembers which language you chose.
• A note saved in your browser when you close the site announcement, so it doesn't keep reappearing.
• A sign-in cookie used only by club staff.
• Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which count visits and measure how fast pages load, without using cookies.
• The map on our home page is provided by Google. When it loads, Google may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy.

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep form messages for as long as the club needs them to handle your request and keep its records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.

You can leave the newsletter whenever you like, using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email or by writing to us.

Payments

This website does not take payments. Dues, initiation fees and hall rental payments are handled directly with the club.

Member records

The club's membership records are kept by the club, as its Bylaws require. They are not collected through or published on this website.

Club history

Our history pages include names from the club's own historical records, such as the 1930 founding members' poster. If you have a correction or a concern about anything we've published, please contact us.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information online. Memberships for minors are arranged in person, with a parent or guardian.

Security

Information sent through this website is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and access to it is limited to the people who need it to do their job for the club. No website is completely secure, but we take reasonable care to protect what you share with us.

Your choices

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
